hello, i was browsing the ol' ebay and I've come across some bumble bee shrimps which I personally haven't seen in the uk and some cherries, I was wondering if they would be compatible with my dwarf neon rainbowfish, I did have tiger shrimp but the last 5 have disappeared and I cant decide if this is because they have been eaten or they are still in there just hiding away somewhere.
assuming they are still in there will I run into any problems of hybridisation between tigers cherrys or bumblebees as this is something I'd like to avoid?
thank you in advance,
Gareth

The cherry shrimp definitely wont interbreed with tigers, true bumblebees normally wont either at least the ones I have don’t breed with crystal red shrimp. Cherries are easy to keep and breed, even with the rainbowfish some cherry babies may make it past bite size, depending on how much cover they have. Bumblebees prefer slightly acidic soft water and are more difficult. Cherries would eat lots of the algae you are having trouble with; they love the softer green thread algae.

Yeah, cherries are Neocaridina sp so they won't interbreed with the others. Bumblebees shouldn't, but be careful. They're sometimes confused with "Bee shrimp" (also known as crystal whites or crystal blacks, depending on the colouring), which will happily breed with tigers...

cheers guys, Shrimps fish and algae are all areas that give me trouble I'm going to turf out the rainbows in favour of some celestial/galaxy rasborra when I get chance I'm almost certain that will remove at least one problem.
what shrimps would people recommend? Are there any I shouldn't mix other than those already stated?
