I have hair algae all over my plants. LFS (who are pretty good) recommended phosphate remover (after testing my water), and Japanese River Shrimp.
Put the shrimp in and straight away they started on the algae. After I put the lights off that night, they have hidden under a rock and not come out ever since. I can see them and they're alive, but they're just sitting there!
Anyone got any ideas why they're not eating the algae?
Only other things in the tank at the moment:
1 cardinal tetra
3 white widow tetras
1 glowlight tetra
1 flying fox
2 cory catfish
1 ancistrus
