I understand that copper kills shrimp.

Until now I've used Seachem Flourish for feed my plants. I got 10 Amano and 10 Cherry shrimp just recently and they seem to have made themselves well enough at home.
I was about to feed the plants this morning and thought I'd best check the "ingredients" list.
It lists copper at 0.0001% is this a low enough concentration to be safe for the shrimp? Or do I need to get a different plant food now?

on page 6 or 7 there is a topic on shrimp worth a look :good:
got this off there
Q: Can fertilizers be used in a tank with shrimp?
A: Yes, so long as the fertilizer does not have copper in it
good luck

there is no measurable amount of copper there, only a trace, it wouldnt kill any shrimp

the majority of trace mix's have copper in, at safe levels

I thought that it would be a low enough concentration as to be negliable (especially as it will be an even lower concentration once in the tank), but nefver hurts to double check :good:
