one of my bamboo shrimp moulted for the first time and im not sure if i should take the dead skin out of the tank or should i leave it what should i do?

I've always removed it - to be best of my knowledge no decaying matter could be good.

i let my shrimp and snails / fish pick at it for a while

then i take it out

cuz it dose have its advanteges

Well I know with Ghost shrimp you leave it in there because they will eat it and it has nutritional value. I'd think the same applies here. I'd leave it until the shrimps new shell has hardened then it would be ok to take it out. but thats just IMO

Really? I only had mine for a week tops and one molted and I watched him nibble on it. Then one of the fish came and gobbled it up.

I just let mine get sucked into the filter and act like a source of calcium. I've got at least 50 shrimps in my tank and I'm too lazy to net out moultings everyday. :look:
