Shrimp Lost Colour

Hi there about 2 years ago i had about 200 fantastic coloured cherry shrimp and ended up selling them all to various people. then recently i wanted to get some again and got some from a friend who he had got them from someone i had sold my original ones to . But the cherry shrimp now have hardly any colour and are nearly white with like little pink on them and the person i sold them to his are all the same can you tell me how this has happened and what i do to get them back to the amazing red colour they once were

I think inbreeding the shrimp reduces their colour.

Also they could just be stressed in his tank, if you got some give them time in your tank to see if they colour up
