Shrimp Info Please

I've been wanting to get some shrimp for ages now but i have never seen them in my LFS. I've got 2 cold water tanks and 1 tropical, and was wondering what ones are best/easiest to keep. I'm rearly up for getting some but don't know where to start.

what fish do you have in each tank?

in my 3 foot tank i've got platy's, guppy's, zebras, tetras, khuilli loaches, cory catfish.

and in my 18 inch tank i've got mollies and cory's.
