Shrimp Help

i was on a fishing trip over the w/e and had a shrimp net out for bait. i had heaps of them so i figured id take some home for my oscar.
the shrimp were caught from a estery and look like glass shrimp, but i think the water were they were from is a little salty. my tank is tropical....

basically all i want to know is will they stay alive in freshwater or do they need brackish water to live

Afraid there's no certain answer here, If I had to hazard a guess I'd say some would suvive in the freshwater for short periods of time, but you'll get some die-offs.
Dunno where your from, but here in the UK all the 'feeder shrimp' are actually brackish water shrimp, and can survive in freshwater for at least a few weeks.
