hi, I now next to nothing about shrimp but i was considering getting some (no idea how many or what kind) for my 20 gallon planted tank. Tank mates would be 8 cherry barbs, 4 cories and maybe some otos, what would be the best kind of hardworking, algae eating shrimp out there for this tank?
thanks,
Nate

Amano shrimp are good algea eaters, and bigger than cherry shrimp who i think are also good algae eaters, i have a single amano with my endlers and hes great, he crawls up my arm when its in the tank

ok cool how many would you recomend also they wont get eaten right??

ok some things not mentioned were will amano shrimp( probly gonna go with them) eat plants or is there a better shrimp u can recomend for me?
Also how many should i get.

amano shrimp are fine with plants, mine sits in them all day long, they do better in groups so the more the merrier :good:

They may nibble on moss-like plants if they're hungry, but usually there's enough algae and fish food to keep them from doing it.
