Hello,

I'm putting together a 20 US gallon tank together and I want to add some freshwater shrimp and I would like some opinions as to what species I should add. I'm leaning toward Blue Tiger shrimp or White Back shrimp, but I'd like others opinions. I'm looking for a colorful shrimp that will stick out nicely on a black sand substrate and will go nicely in a peaceful community tank (I'm planning on some fancy guppies, cobras and such). If you you have any experience with a particular species, I'd welcome your advice as well.

Thanks! :good:

i like the blue tigers. they might not stick out that much on black substrate (unless you get some ofthe ones that are really blue.

regular red cherry shrimp, and the yellow variant would both contrast nicely with a dark substrate. though reds are kind of common. idk if you were looking for something a little different.

snowballs would definitely stick out. but im not a fan of them personally.

Yeah, I'm looking for something on the more uncommon side when it comes to these shrimp, which is why I'm not going with cherries. Although the yellow variant might be nice. :)

I like the look of the bumblebee ones :) They are very nice and the white would stick out against a dark substrate!
