I’m just wondering what shrimp would be suitable for a cold water tank (shrimp only).

I only have one spare plug so it would have to be cold water and I can NOT run another extension off my plug…

I did have red cherry shrimp….they were in an unfiltered (temporary) tank, I moved them to a nice filtered heated tank and I lost them all.

Would red cherry shrimp be ok in a unheated tank permanently or would something else be better recommended; or is there any other shrimp I can keep?

Pretty much any shrimp can be taken in cold water from 10C up with RCS you will see 2 distinct die offs from cold water the first occurs at 10C then 6C RCS can be kept up to 2C. I use to keep them in the outside pond in the UK. The die off you saw was probably because of a sudden difference in temperature don't forget you are changing there metabolism a 10C jump should take 6-12hrs to complete using a drip method and ideally over a week of increasing by 1-2 degrees each day which is a more natural cycle
