Both of my amano females have died and I can't figure out why.
Stats normal and only new addition is some aquarium safe suction cups as I replaced the ones on my DIY filter/moss wall, which caused more stress for the fish then the shrimp, as I accidentally trapped one whilst putting the wall back in.
One of the shrimp escaped last night and I found her this morning, dropped her back in the tank and she swam a small amount really struggling and hid in a cave, thats quite an obvious death. The other seems to of died from a molt whilst I was out today, there are a couple of old molts in the tank that they can easily reach if they need more calcium. The mystery is that both have a really bright orangey red patch on there head just behind there eyes, It looks similar to what I imagine a haemorage would look like on a shrimp .
The 2 males are fine and my assassin snails are actually chowing down on one of the dead bodies got to love the circle of life , so I doubt its a chemical issue.
