I know it's normal for skunk cleaner shrimps to dive on a fish and pick parasites and such off but the past few days the coral beauty has been parking up to the shrimp many times for a clean! A lot of the time the skunk shrimp is attached to the fish, then it goes back again for another round! Am I just looking at the tank at the wrong time or could there be anything wrong with the coral beauty? It seems fine, no odd marking and swims around perfectly healthy, just seems to be happening a lot more often than usual - they don't usually bother each other.

lmao! alright don't seem as bad today it's not often i look where the shrimp is but it's been weird seeing it going round having a piggy back ride

The only fish I had use the skunk cleaners were the tangs that I had, when they got whitespot. I had a coral beauty and never once saw it make use of the skunks cleaning services.

I'd be concerned that the fish might have a parasite(s), mainly ich. Is there any sign of them on the fish? Where does the shrimp clean? On the body, gills, mouth? How long have you had the coral beauty?

Like in the film, not mentioning it's name..waaaahhhh, new fish will be rigorously cleaned by these little guys..as AK says above if in for a while the beauty may have an infection not yet visible to yourself and hence his interest in your shrimp...

Totally, though can be a pain if spot feeding as they love to steal food off the corals...best to give them some food first to keep them occupied then try to spot feed any corals,etc..

It usually goes for the front of the coral beauty, maybe the mouth. The actual fish seems perfectly fine, no new marks on it or anything!
