I've checked around and everything seems like it should be fine, but I'd figured I'd check here to make sure.
Once my 29g tank is cycled, I'm gonna be adding some about 12 GloFish, 6 Neon Tetras, and 3 Otto cats. I like shrimp, so after seeing what my LFS's stock, I'd like to add the following...
3 Cherrys
3 Ghosts
3 Red Claws
3 Black Crystals
I figure a nice variety would be nice. From what I've seen they should be compatible. I can also get some tiny bumblebee shrimps but from what I've seen they dont get along very well with Crystal shrimps, so I'll leave them out.
Also, would this be considered an overload of the tank? I know the general fish rule is 1 inch per gallon, but how do shrimp apply to that formula?
I have a decent amount of hiding places, including a rock pile with space inside, a fake hollow log, and one of the hollow multi branch things. I also have a Eheim 2234 (60 gallon) canister filter if that matters.
