Morning,
This morning, i have noticed some of my RCS behaving a bit unusually.
The bigger shrimps, the more redder ones are behaving as perfectly normally, eating and moving about as per normal, however the smaller more clearer shrimps, probably younger males maybe, am a newbie, sorry can't be more specific when describing them
are running back and forth along the length of the tank.
Now, have tested water parameters : pH - 7.4 (a bit lower than normally at 8), Ammonia - 0ppm, Nitrite - 0ppm, Nitrates 40ppm. So all these readings are spot on really.
Is it normal for shrimps to be running around in the mornings?
Normally I have left the house by this time to go to work but today am working from home so a different time for me to be observing the tank. So this could be possible normal behaviour. Is it?
All the fish are fine and swimming about like they usually do, and snails are ok, not at top of water surface or buried under gravel or displaying any behaviour that would indicate something wrong with the tank water.
Just the few clearer shrimps, about 4, running about sort of in a panic but that could just be me though!
Sorry if this is a daft question
