Ok, I have a 10 gallon nano tank with some corals, 2 peppermint shrimp and 2 damsels.

Today, after a water change, I was rinsing the filter off with the old tank water in the sink, and all the sudden I noticed a TON of little maggot little things running down the drain, I immediately stopped and got a look at one, it is a pappermint shrimp-- why are they there, what do I do? LOL, this was unexpected!!

I was doing some research on the issue and might have came up with a solution.

Do not physically touch the young as they are very fragile and touching them will make the appendages break off and will further put them at risk of dying. If you can, purchase 2 breeding net that are commonly made for fry is freshwater tanks. Do now attach the metal pieces that you would normally as they will corrode in your tank. Attach them to the tank with fishing line. Loop the fishing line in the wholes and take the string and anchor it to something on the desk that you have the tank on. Take two pieces of acrylic or glass and lay them in the bottom of the nets and make sure it is flat without and cracks in the side where they can crawl into. Use a syringe or turkey baster to take the young out and place them in the nets. Make sure they dont have a currecnt rushing directly into them but also make sure they have some water movement by them. You can feed these little guys with liqui-food (I don't think this is your best bet though) from what I read, but also live baby brine shrimp.

Of course, this is something that I thought might work. Please pick it apart experts, as it will help... :good:
