I don't know if anyone has made a topic listing the different types of shrimp and the fish they have safely kept them with, so I thought I would kick one off.

Shrimp Type Fish Type
Cherry Shrimp Guppies (but they will eat shrimplets)
Siamese Fighters (will eat shrimplets and can have a go at adults)
Sparkling Gourmamis (have seen them try to eat the sub adult shrimp)
Brislte Nose catfish - safe
Corydoras Catfish - safe
Empire Gudgeons- ate all the shrimp
Purple Spotted Gudgeons - ate all the shrimp
Australian Rainbow Fish- (not 100% sure either way but seemed safe)
Khuli loaches - safe
Pakastani Loaches -( seem safe but that might be just because the Pakastani loaches are feasting on snails)
Black Neon Tetras - Safe
Golden Tetras - Safe
Goldfish - Will eat the shrimp
Lizard Fish - (only have the 1 but doens't seem to be eating the shrimp)
Borneo Suckers - Safe

Australian Glass Shrimp Same as above

Macorbrachium Species (Australian varieties) NOT safe with small fish the shrimp catch and eat them and will nip at larger fish, will also eat smaller shrimp kept with them

Crystal Red Shrimp Where with Borneo Suckers and Corydoras but high summer water temp seems to have killed them off not their co-tank mates.

As I collect more varieties of shrimp and add them to my different tanks I will be able to keep adding shrimp types and what fish I have found them to get along with.

Shrimp Type Fish Type
*Crystal Red * Pink Jewel Tetra/ White-Tipped Rosy Tetra- Ate cherry shrimp

Cherry Shrimp * As above
* White Cloud Minnows - ate cherry shrimp

Note * shows fish and shrimp not kept in my tanks

Add "Pink Jewel Tetra" or "White-Tipped Rosy Tetra" to that list. #19###s were supposedly shrimp safe, then my red crystal disappeared, then my cherries began to vanish, never suspected them, until I caught one of them with half a cherry shrimp in its mouth....poor sucker was still alive

White Cloud Mountain Minnows too, supposedly shrimp safe, but mine tore my cherry shrimp apart... :grr:
