Hello Betta Boy, KoiKris, simonas,
Thanks a lot for a comment

i have to admit im not a big fan of fish with such large nochial humps , but having said that the colours and all round general condition of that male are absolutely 1st class. it gos to show that you keep your fish very well.

I agree, I'm not a big fan of the fish with the head lump. (reminds me of Rhomba bulls witht heir lump on their back!) Fish like Frontosa, and flowerhorns just aren't too appealing to me. But from what I understand, the bigger forehead lump that male flowerhorns have, it means that they are better quality, and the breeder "must know what they are doing." I find all of the colors of flowerhorns attractive, so I don't see why they have to breed for the forehead lump. I think that they would be way more attractive if they didn't have the forehead lump, as flowerhorns have just about the most BEAUTIFUL colors of most freshwater fish that are kept in captivity, IMO.

To OP, Could you please explain why good flowerhorn breeders breed for the forehead lump? I'm just curious. Thanks!
