I have a 60 gallon tank that's a few weeks old, so pretty new. Currently, it's a peaceful with a few guppies, platys, mollys, tetras, and a single dwarf gourami.

I've been looking to finish this tank off with a keyhole cichlid since they've been my favorite fish for a while and my main question is, should I be able to keep them with those tank mates, if so how many? Is a single possible? Are pairs of males alright? Should I get keyhole cichlids at all?

It's a new tank and all and I would very much appreciate any help or advice anyone can give.

Thanks!

Keyholes are nice cichlids, they don't grow too big and are pretty peaceful. They would probably polish of any livebearer fry unless the tank is densely planted. My choice would be a pair, but two males could work with no female to fight over.
