Hi,
First off, I think you are overstocked to begin with, the plecos will have to be moved within months if not already so are you going to keep this tank when you get the new one?
Most of the common rams in shops now are very weak inbreds that barely make it to the fish shop alive. I would be very selective about where I bought them. If you are in Europe, ask for fish bred in the Czech republic or in Germany. They are also very intolerant of medications and prefer soft acid water if possible.
I dont want to put you off getting them but just be aware that you may lose some after purchase.
With these kind of cichlids I really prefer to see them in a tank with fish who are from the same continent at least, I know some people will probably blast me for this but I dont think they are good community fish. They are very beautiful tho when they are in full health but I would treat them as I would Discus. I think they would get this proper treatment if they were as expensive as Discus but the relatively cheap price means that they end up in community tanks that dont suit them.
If you do decide to go for them, let us know how you get on!
