Im hopefully getting some corys in a few days.. i have two fake plants, and a smallish castle already in the tank. Ive noticed in quite a few cory tanks they hide in caves, logs etc so would i need to get one? the castle cant really hold much inside it and betta is always in and out of there anyway..

Hello! :) As far as I'm, aware Corys are nocturnal, so it'd be best to provide a cave or such for them to hide in during the day :)

This is a link to a site which shows you how to make a coconut cave, I used that guide to make two for my 16 gal community tank and they look pretty good and seem to be practical :)

Hi f1sh :)

A cave isn't really necessary, but it's a nice touch and the corys will use it.

COOOL !! A coconut cave !! Ima make one when I get my corys.

i have found that when i increased my numbers of them they hide less and less, they seem to thrive on larger numbers. once i get above 6 they seem to use thier cave less and less.
However it is nice for them to have somewhere to feel secure and safe.

That's true, kewskills. As a schooling fish, they do better, when their group is bigger rather than small. :D
