hi.
i have an african butterfly fish that i have just treated with white spot. All went well and all is going well. He is eating fine, always eager to get crickets and flakes but i just noticed a single little 'faded' white dot on 1 of its 8 hanging tentacle fin (sorry don't know what its called). I know its not white spot because even though its the size and colour, i have looked closely and it was turning fuzzy (like a fungus). Again, its only very small and i just wanted to know if the tiny hairy white dot will endanger it or my breeding trio of bn (again all doing very well)??? Because he is eating way more than before and very active, I don't feel like stressing him out with another medication. So could i just perform daily water changes until the single tiny fuzzy spot goes away?

Sorry i don't know have the equipment to measure the water nitrate etc but what i do know is that i do daily water changes and the 2footer is over filtered with 2 'established' filters so i don't think the water quality is bad.

Thank you in advance.

I would just add some pimafix to the tank for now.
How long did you treat for the whitespot, as its best to treat another week after spots have gone.

indeed so wilder. all white spot treatments need to be carried out at least twice. the bug is only vulnerable when it is in its free swimming form, you can not treat a fish, only the water it is in. pushing the temp up to the low eighty's will speed things up. but you will still need a second treatment.
