Sorry if this goes wrong! I'm just learning how to download/upload images via Photobucket onto the forum.

This is supposed to link to a photo of my male short-bodied pink convict.

Hope it works! If not can someone tell me where I've gone wrong?

Thanks - Athena

I shall continue...

Oh that's George above, by the way.

And here we have his missus, Mildred, with her orange, spawning tummy!

In this pic Mildred is hiding in her little cave to escape George's advances!

Awwww, and here are their fry!!!! Approx 1 month old... (there are about 12 in all that survived from that particular batch - difficult to count them as they move so quickly!)

They are all very beautiful, very interesting, feisty but cute little fish!

They are adorable! :)) I hope our eggs make it (parrot and convict/texan teamed up) although I see they haven't eaten the white ones yet.
You have some sweet babies there :)

Thanks - yes they are very cute (although a couple of weeks ago they looked like tiny monsters LOL, see-thru bodies with huge black eyes!)

Hope some of your fry survive. This is the first time in a year of regularly spawning and caring for fry that George has allowed any to survive past a week! So they are quite special - and will break my heart when I have to find homes for some of them in a month or so

Yes, we found that very hard when our convict/texan breeded twice. They were so tiny and personable and sweet, we kept quite a few but it was really upsetting when we had to give some and sell some. You never think anyone else will give them as good a home as you can. I think it was almost worse giving them to people we knew because then we were watching them all the time, worrying etc. Poor little dears, we do our best eh? :) Good luck :))
