Shipping is killing me 240 dollars worth so far.

I need to find a place that I can buy Mollies, Platys and Guppy's at a half way reasonable price ( no $200.00 a guppy) so I can pay a single shipping charge. I would be extremely grateful for some help on this.

Where do you live? EBay has some decent guppies. A few have free shipping. There use to be a guy that had “Quinn’s Fins” and he had good prices on guppies.

I have found liveaquaria.com to be out of stock on everything I want but Wet Spot Has a few and I will be ordering there soon. I do wonder how much their shipping is tho and why they don't have all their photo's up. Oh well, you can't have your cake and eat it also.

I would really like to do just that but Georgia took my Driver Permit (for my own safety due to my age, even though I had no ticket's or accident's) and I'm hooked to an oxygen line permanently and an IV for 6 hrs a day. I find I must beg for a ride and every one seems to be busy.

If the Wet Spot doesn’t have everything you need some reputable online vendors that carry most livebearers are Aquatic Arts, Blue Grass Aquatics, Flip Aquatics, Twin City Guppies, Michaels Fish Room, Imperial Tropicals and many others.

You have mentioned the high cost of shipping and yes that is true. Shipping live fish is costly as it is needs to be expedited. Typically this is about $29-$49 and might be free if you have a large order. If you have reservations about the shipping costs contact a local fish store. Two stores in my area are delivering any products including live fish during COVID-19 for free locally. Even if your store does not explicitly mention delivery, it doesn’t hurt to call them and explain your driving situation. If you throw an extra $10 an employee might stop by with some fish after the store closes.

I really don't mind a reasonable single shipping charge, its when you have to buy 4 fish here and they are out of stock of everything else you want, you go to another place and they have one thing and are out of stock for the rest
I have absolutely no doubt this will be my last aquarium so I want the fish I enjoy and they are a trio of marigolds variatus, a trio of otocinclus, a trio of lyretail delta guppy, a trio of sunburst mickey mouse platy's and a trio of Rosie barbs. oh yea, let's not forget the black molly's. That would pretty much complete my purchases for this tan

That sound super expensive to buy online.

Even if your local pet stores may not take good care of their fish, you can find them for cheap there.

It is really hard to get anyone to drive me the 65 miles to the LFS, evryone is always busy with something else. I notice you are from Kentucky, which in 1946 I lived in Cawood right outside of Harlan but back then the roads was a lot different.

I think that I am going to halt trying to buy new fish until this virus thing is over. I am going to focus on tank maintenance, my prefilter needs cleaning and my dual sponge filter needs cleaning also. I need to breakdown my Sunsun 704 B and clean the sponges or replace them, plus add another tray of media. I just got in a shipment of plants and I need to plant them - so I have my work cut out for me. Of course I will top it off with a water change

I will be placing an order with Arizona Gardens (azgardens.com) - I also love Live Aquaria
Shipping of fish if you want their guarantee is $40-$60. If you want a Styrofoam container (of course you do!!) another $10, then a whole $1 for a hot or cold pack. Live Aquaria is a little cheaper but nobody has the selection that AZ gardens has - amazing number of fish species. Of course BOTH are out of stock on the chocolate gourami I want (I have one named "Mr Coffee") that comes to his name and I'd like another - probably named Starbucks or Folgers or something. Live Aquaria I believe is owned by DrsFosterandSmith. AZgardens is family owned.

To me it's been worth it to get the selection. But AZ has twice messed up an order, never had that problem with LiveAquaria is always right. Both are short staffed right now. There fish are all very healthy, nice specimens - no rip-off local store owner like I have in my home town. He also gets his kicks watching children cry when he feeds his piranhas. (I walk out and leave)
