I bought a "short tailed male" about 6 months ago...."he" lived in a 2 gallon hex forever until I finally realized how fat he'd gotten and ...stripes!! So during a day of rearranging I took her out and put her in a 2.5 divided with a beautiful crown tail male. Now mind you, she's not the most beautiful girl in the world and she's very large and most recently...very,very round so he's not that attracted since he's neighbored with some pretty darn cute females in the past. Her fins are incredibly jagged since she's so soooo swollen with eggs that it's causing some stretching/tearing going on & she can barely swim,at a quick glance you'd think she had dropsy but that's not the case. I feel like I need to breed her just to give her some relief but none of my males are interested nor could they fit around her to give her a squeeze Any suggestions? She's absolutely miserable & I don't know how to help her. She still appears happy, dancing at the glass and eating normally, but she looks like she's about to explode
