hi, i am helping my girlfriend change from community fish to a small tanganiykan set up, she really wants the Neolamprologus multifasciatus, so with this in mind, the whole tank will be set up around them. i am having difficulty finding the propper Neothauma snail shells for sale anywhere.
i really want these as opposed to a substitute kind of shell, although if push comes to shove we will have to settle with a substitute shell.
so, does anyone know where these are available, either in the lancashire area or online.

any help or push in the right direction will be greatly appreciated,

Dave

i know you can get them here:

http://www.africanaquatic.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=0&products_id=71

but they seem to be out of stock at the moment, perhaps try emailing them?

A friend of mine uses Escargot shells for this exact purpose and all his fish seem happy as chimps.

There you go.

ha thats funny, i only just finished sending a message to the guy selling 4x escargot shells, £2 for 4, he said he has 5 lots available so just getting a price for all of them, 20 shells should be enough, she only wants a small group of them around 6-8 maybe and wait for a pair to form. will just wait for a reply and as long as the p+p is low i might get them.
thanks for the help, much appreciated.

Dave

yep, but this one is even better

36 for £11 from france.

yeah but they will take about 2 weeks to get here! plus they are prepared for food aren't they, whereas the ones off this guy are for the fish so i assume are properly prepared for an aquarium??

All natural things are prepared for food, one way or another, just make sure they get a good clean.
I'd personally rather go for the 36 incase I broke some accidently. I'd rather have too many than not enough.

i ordered off that seller... i recieved 48 shells instead of 36... you might just get lucky like me

Give the guy a phone, I'm fairly sure it was 3.50-4.00 but an extra 3 quid for next day delivery so I went for the expensive option, see how you get on... :good:
