Thing that I dont really like about sharks in private aquariums is most dont really look like sharks to me. I mean look at the silver sharks head, its like a minnow or somthing :p I prefer marine sharks, like the bamboo cat shark \/

Probably red tailed black (although I have none at the moment :p) followed by silver sharks.

There are very big differences in types of sharks, especially when comparing to a great white :/ the majority of the worlds sharks are small and quite friendly; there are less than 100 types of shark that are considered POTENTIALLY dangerous to humans if memory serves.

i was implying that it was bad to keep such a wonderful preadator in captivity i was using the great white as an example in the way of how all marine sharks should be wild and free not in a fish tank i find it cruel to do that

If you are saying that because they are such wonderful predators, then why don't you say the same about freshwater fish that are wonderful predators, do you think that is cruel to keep them locked up in a fish tank? As long as the person is providing suitable space and taking care of it, what does it matter? It's not a bad thing, it is just peoples preferences and they should be allowed to have those. He was just answering your question

My thoughts exactly when i read that post, I see no more cruelty in keeping marine sharks then any other fish, freshwater or otherwise! Provided, as you say, you keep them in appropriate conditions.

Rainbow shark all the way. I've had my monster for quite some time now, and despite his agression I love him to death. With out him I wouldnt know all that I know now as far as reasearch goes.
