Hello all! My name is Amy and I live in Wichita, Kansas. Yes, I know...no where near an ocean and I've never actually seen a shark in person, but I've been fascinated with them since I was about 13.

Anyway, the Great White is my favorite "fish"

As for fish we can actually keep in a tank...we currently have two African Drawf Frogs, 3 Painted Tetras (I didn't know what they went through for that color when we bought them..I do now) and 8 Tiger Barbs.

I'm going to see about setting up a smaller tank for the two frogs and maybe add one Betta in, since the Barbs have been picking on the smaller frog and we don't want to loose our frogs. Those are our babies. They're the only things that are original from when we first set up a tank almost 2 years ago.

Our current tank is a 12 gallon by Eclipse. I couldn't tell you all the technical stuff :p

We hope to one day have a saltwater tank, but that will be a ways off before we try that.

Just thought I'd say hi and let you all know a bit about what we have :)

From one Amy to another... WELCOME!!

His explanation of how he got it up and running...

Such an amazing challenge to do such a thing... Wish he would of posted pictures of the after scenery with his den furniture in there an what nots.

Again Welcome aboard!

Thanx for the welcome MamaFish (and another Amy! :) ) and the links. That is just too awesome! I don't think I could EVER take on a task like that...actually, I'd probably feel bad for the shark (I'm one of those people that don't really like the idea of them being captive unless they're small and in a HUGE aquariam) The Australian Sea World is in the process of building a huge tank for Tiger Sharks. The whole idea is so children can get hands on learning about these creatures and learn that they're not "bad". As long as they have plenty of room, I'm ok with it.

Can you tell I'm passionate about sharks? :p :D

Thanx again for the welcome!
