Ok, i have a 150g tank i used to use for cichlids that is now free and clear. Tank is a tad over 6ft long, 26" tall and 18" wide.

So ive always liked the way a few of the sharks looked and finally decided to get one going, Ive read several of the species are agressive with their own kind, my question is, are they aggressive with their exact speices or all of the other Cyprinids.

I was thinking of these for these for this tank

Bala Shark x3
Red-tailed Shark x1
Rainbow Shark x1
Black Shark x1

Now that is of course provided they are only aggressive with their own kind and not their species in general. Yes im aware of the size the black shark can reach, but theres still plenty of room as long as these follow the same gallon/fish we use for cichlids

There would still be a little room left for a few other med sized fish, any other suggestions, or anyone have experiance with tryin to raise these together?

Skip the black shark, it will grow too big for your tank and eventually start killing everything. Then you will either have to get a bigger tank to keep it on it's own, or most likely euthanise it, as no-one is going to want to take it.

Add a few more balas, even though the tanks a bit thin...they should be fine, and like to be in bigger groups.

The tank should easily be big enough to keep both the red tail and rainbow, but just in case you will need to keep an eye on them. You will need plenty of hiding spaces for them to make their territories.

Look at larger barbs, like tinfoils, also a couple of medium sized cichlids would be nice, like firemouths or rarer types.

Larger rainbowfish can look stunning.

Maybe some oddballs would suit you better. African butterfly fish, Senegal bichir, a few glassfish species...loads of options.
