My 2 ft tank was housing a female Anamalochromis Thomasi and 3 fry which managed to escape the male when he turned rogue after the pair spawned again. He also beat the female up badly. Anyway I put the male in my main tank along with another male and female, and left the female with the surviving fry.
Today I decided it was time for them to join the grown up world so I put them in a 4ft tank holding mainly peaceful fish, tetras cories and a few others and put the female in my main. I watched her to see if she would hook up with her mate. No way, within 15 minutes she was shamelessly flaunting herself in front of the other male and within another 10 mins they were swimming about together and seem to be establishing a territory. She's been wearing her dancing clothes since and I think I'll have more eggs soon. I don't really want any more fry though so they will have to take their chances.
Heres a little video of the happy couple. https/youtu.be/I3wbUBGREJE
