:/ I have two female bettas in a community tank. When I bought them, I was unaware that they do not like water movement. The tank I put them in has a strong air stone that is on all the time and a large crocodile head which occasionally opens up and lets a huge bubble out of it's mouth! :D And there are quite alot of other big fish so their is always a strong flow of water in the tank. They were a bit quiet at first but I thought it was just because of the stress of the journey back from my LFS. They started swimming around normally the next day but then when I added the croc head they have just hid under ther huge chunk of bogwood ever since. They don't even come up to feed. (By the way, sorry this post is so long! ) I only ever see them if I peep right under the bogwood. What I want to ask is, I am soon going to set up a small tank to house one male betta onhis own (not sure yet of size, probably a 2.5 Minibow) and I was wondering if I should move the two females to that tank with the male. Would he attack them or anything?
Thanks in advance for any replies. :D

don't put females with a male. He will attack them and maybe kill them in a tank so small.
You could get them there own 2.5, or close the crocodile for now.

actually, if you get them their own tank, at least get a 5 gallon. They grow quite big and like to swim a little.
