Shall I Get A Eheim 2224 External Filter?

I have a 40Gal tank and have an internal fluval 4 plus filter and it only lasts about a week and it's clogging up so I'm making a switch to external, I've got the impression that Eheim are rated over fluval so I was looking at the Eheim 2224, what do you reckon? Or any better suggestions?

Actually I think I'm gonna go with the Eheim 2026.

if you can afford the ehime 2026 then i would highly recomend you do so, you wont get a better filter. you will get very good cheaper filters, but if you have the money and want quality then i would go ahead and buy it.

I just upgraded from 2224 to 2026 and both filters are good.
