i got a orange parrot fish yesterday and i wanted to know how i can tell if its male or female

There are no physical differences.. some people say they can tell by looking at their sexual reproductive organ..

Not sure if you know, but bps grow too large for 30g tanks.. They can reach 8''.

u can sex them by the dorsal fin i think. If it is longer than the tail or at the tail tip then its a male.

I don't believe it's that easy.. most people just wait for eggs

Wait for it to lay eggs as theres no sexual differences.If you know what you are looking for with its breeding tube you can sometimes tell but its not always possible.
