Hi
I bought a couple of Aplocheilus lineatus a few days ago, and think I have 2 males, what differences do the male and females have, when I bought them I thought I purchased 1 male a 1 female, but i'm not so sure now, the reason being one is chasing the other round the tank, (300l, so space isn't an issue). One that is being chased also looks as if it's had it fins picked at quite a bit. What I do know is that the females have rounder anal fins, smaller and are not as colourful, these are fairly young so it seems hard to tell, so would there be anything else to look out for.
I would like to get some females to go with the male(s), but need to know the difference (if i just got a few males there would be carnage), as i thought i knew, but not so sure now.
Thanks
