how would i be able to sex a "chinese gold algae eater??

I don't think there is much known about sexing them. One thing I read said the male had more pronounced "thorns" around the mouth. Also, very little (if any) success breeding them.

I've been told that guys are smaller, but girls are fatter.
I'm not sure, it's what i've been told.
