Sexing Pygmy Corydoras

I got some new pygmy corys today after it was suggested for my tank and I was woundeding how do you tell what gender they are they are about an inch so nearly fully or if not fully grown and I would like to breed them not straight away but in a few month perhaps

I will also upload a picture of them ASAP

I believe the sexing of pygmy cories is to do with their appearance from above, but I'm not entirely sure what. I did read somethig about it a while back. I think it was that the females look slightly rounder, but I'm not 100% certain on that.

I saw that tip, but it's impossible to look as they don't stay still long enough

Ha I know one reason is because they are new but mine flew for anything lol yeh I read the looking over the top too some where I just didn't know if there was any other way

Most cories including pygmies can be sexed from above,larger broader ones are more than likely females,smaller slender ones are probably males.

Well, I guess you'd have to be pretty unlucky if all five of them were the same gender if they were picked out at random. You must surely have a male and a female there
