Sexing pearl of likoma cichlid

Got this fish end of November last year , was in an assorted peacock cichlid tank for $4.

I’ve gone this whole time thinking it’s a male , but over the past week it’s Jaw/mouth has expanded like 2 times its normal size , it tries to eat but looks like its mouth full so it will usually have 1 piece of food in its lips tryna eat it during feed time. It’s been a lot more shy. And I can see a lot of things in its mouth.

Not exactly trying to breed , but if I get lucky and can have some cool fry I won’t be mad.

Just gives me an excuse to set up my 20gal.

That really looks like a female holding eggs to me. See the gular pouch that hangs down in the "throat" area.
Now if this not a species only tank, and you have any other male mbuna type cichlids in there, there is no way to 100% guarantee that these aren't hybrids.

Ya sadly there’s 13 other males in there all different types. So its definitely gonna be a hybrid sadly , hopefully it’s at least cool looking.
