Sexing My Blue Acara....

I've had my Blue Acara since October. I posted some photos of him/her for sexing at the time but it was thought to be too small. Well, he/she has since grown a lot since then, so I wondered if anyone has any idea now? I'm thinking maybe female as the dorsal fin is quite rounded.

how big is it? it could be still too small to reliably sex but to me it looks female

I think it's about 2 inches...

on a male Blue Acara the anal and dorsal fins are longer, often extending beyond the caudal fin. at the moment yours look more rounded which leads me to think female however at 2 inches id say prob too small to be 100% wait until it reaches the 3 inch + mark then if the fin extensions havent developed id say you can be pretty sure you have a female

Ditto on markandhisfish, while probable female for the above reason, if still only 2" hard to be 100% (although the slower growth rate would aslo suggest female)

She's probably about 3 inches... Quite big now... I thought she was female too
