Well,

My Kribs arrived today and they seem to be settleing in well. Thing is I am not sure who is male and who is female.

One is way smaller than the other (about 3x) and is very bright in colour compared to the other one. It has got a diamond shaped tail consistent with what I have read about males but is so much brighter than the other one.

The bigger one does have colouring but not very bright and with only a tinge of red on it's belly. This one has turquoise bits on the ventral fins like a male I saw in this - http://hjem.get2net.dk/Best_of_the_Web/intropage.htm.

I don't have very good photos of the smaller one yet, I will put the photos here - http://fish.orbust.net/forums/index.php?ac...ST&f=22&t=20565 and try to get some more soon.

:)

I always thought that the female kib had a pink coloration on her belly, where as the male did not.

the one with the spade shaped tail is a male, the dorsal fin will also be longer, females are usually more colorful, but males can be just as colorful, its depends on how they are kept
secondly, the smaller one might be a lot younger than the other one, so it could be a developing male
well good luck with ur kribs! (im going to get sum 2day Yipee!!)
