Sexing Bristlenose

Currently my Bristlnose is >2 inches in size and showing few tiny bristles. How fast will he/she grow and about what age will the bristles start to show?

It seems to vary, i have lots of babies but they seem to be about 2 inches and 6?months oldish before you can tell. If yours has a few bristles i am guessing its a boy just starting to reach early maturity.

Awesome! It appears to have quite a few little tiny bristles, were as my second does not. Hopefully I can get a M/F pair and attempt to breed them as I can't find any in my area.

Yes the males have the bristles and these plecos are very good parents. What other fish have you got in the tank?
