Severums

[Dwarfs]

I want to get a severum to put with the fish in my 30g (see sig) and move them to a 55 My dad used to have a severum which was affectionate to us and now that I'm getting a bigger tank I can get one. YAY!

Severums are cool cichlids...the only thing about is it could reach the size of 12" and up....I used to have a gold severum but i have to give it back to my LFS when i got my discus. You could put them in a community tank when they are small i don't know if they get agressive when they are adults

severums are peaceful compared to most cichlids. you can keep them with fish like oscars, angels, larger gouramis and such. im sure you can keep a lot more but these are just IME. i love gold ones but a REAL nice green one is the best. light green with dark swirls are my favorite. gl

I have had a green severum for only a few weeks now but it is by far my favorite fish. Its still pretty small. Its coloring changes drastically from pretty light to almost black. Great, great fish.


Any other info on these guys since i;m pretty new to them also?
