I was given Extremely bad advice when buying and setting up my 1st ever tropical tank and ended up severly overstocking my 70 ltr tank.

Therefore i have the following available for anyone who can help and take them to a suitable tank:

1 Red tiger oscar
2 Bala Sharks
1 Common (golden) Pleco
1 Male Betta
2 Female Betta's
1 Rainbow Shark

It was from my LFS, but it has been a while and they are refusing to take them back, get this they say they will REPLACE any fish that DIE but cannot take them back after purchase, im not happy!! Obviously dont want them to die so trying to find someone to take at least some from me,.

How big are the sharks? If they're smallish I can rehome them from you, and possibly the male betta.

Possibly some of the others too, will have a think and pm you in the morning.

They are still pretty small 2-3 inches or so, yeah please let me know

Before someone from the Betta brigade come and kill you, I think id like to warn you about the Male and Female betta's as this wil be your biggest problem. Considering the Oscar and Bala sharks are only small you have more time to rehome them then the betta. Got any pictures of the fish?

Really why is that? to be honest they seem to be doing fine, rarely fight now , the two females have a little banter but they seem fine otherwise, they are pretty hardy are they not and can actually breathe air? No Pics yet will try and get some done 2moro

Males shouldnt be kept with females, just the rule of Betta's. It will always end in heartache ( :shifty: )

lol oh ok, see my LFS (which is terriblle btw) recommended to me to get 1 male and 2 females, sayin would be ok a the 2 females would be fine to cope with a bit of hassle, to me it just lookas like he keeps them in their place and kind of rounds them up. But what do i know im new to this!!

you mean what do your LFS know, If they have already stocked your tank in this manner I would only buy fish from there dont even accept feeding or cleaning advise from them.

Never goin back there!!! On the DAY i bought my FIRST tank they also sold me the followiing fish (forgettin to tell me i shouldnt be puttin fish straight in!!!)

1 Red tiger oscar
1 Shark Cat (R.I.P)
2 Angels
2 Silver sharks
1 Rainbow shark
1 Common (golden) pleco
2 Cory's (1 bronze, 1 leapord?)
3 siamese fighting fish (1 male, 2 female)
4 head + tail light tetras (3 R.I.P. one remaining feel very sorry for him)
1 Chinese algae eater (managed to return, the bugger constantly attacked rainbow shark)

now i have read up and asked people i know this is ridiculously too many!!1

Well good on you for sorting this out now before it becomes a problem..... Ill check back when you have pictures, Night...

For your info, I don't know where your LFS is but Wildwoods is pretty close to Southgate - up in crews hill. I've never asked their advice (I don't trust any LFS) but their fish are top quality.

I'm just doing some digging to work out what I can take off you, the silver sharks are a yes, probably the male betta as well.
