Hi all still havn't setup anything yet...wanting to know if this setup is alguds for 2x Cleaner Shrimp:

45L Tank
Filter
Heater
Sand
Saltwater
Ornaments or some kind i.e. castle, shipwreck. (For shrimp to hide etc)

This is the setup im wanting to go for as i do not want to deal with live coral as it takes up to much time, money and maintenance. Can the Cleaner shrimp be happy with the ornaments?? or is that a bit cruel?? Don't want come off mean and cheap. I feel as long as i keep the tank clean, fresh n warm, feed them well im hoping they should be happy. Just didn't want the hassle if the cleaner shrimp can live happy in this setup..

cheers for all that get back...

:hi: to the salty side of life

a ten gallon is fine for a pair of cleaner shrimp :good:

May I suggest you omit the shipwreak, castle thing and go for a more natural looking tank using live rock as your filter and give the shrimps a nicer home :good:

In a tank that size you could also have a hermit and a snail. And with even the most basic of lights you could have some colourful mushrooms. Just ensure you do a weekly water change of 25% and your tank should look great.

Have a look at jennybugs 'on the edge' tank

Seffie x

ps dont forget to start a journel
