Definitely wont be putting any fish in there for the first couple of weeks! the tank has to mature and cycle through some nasty stages before any livestock go in.

If you really need lots of info check out this thread and read it through throroughly. There is a graph under the chemistry part of that thread. The ammonia and nitrite are pure killers in your tank and you need this stage to pass before fish go in.

make sure your chemical testing kits from your tropical setup are compatible with a marine setup. use those to check your tank's progress

ok thanks i havnt yet got a marine tank im getting it nearer july when i can afford it,can you suggets any products which you have found useful.also if you dont mind me askin the general cost of a complete setup of a 120 litre tank.Many thanks

If you set up the tank correclty and use mature liverock in correct quantites then fish can be added immediately.
