Setting Up My 30 Gallon

I've just barely moved and everything in the house is set up, except my fish tank. How long should I let the tank run with filters and all before adding my fish. I'm going to be doing fresh water.

The key isn't how long to keep it running without fish. Technically you could fill it with water check your parameters and put fish in the next day. however you may want to read the article at the top of this forum regarding cylcing a tank. That is really the important part of the equation. It's a common mis-nomer that you need to run a tank empty for a week before adding fish.
