Okay, I want to set up a 55 Gallon freshwater oddball tank, but I'm not sure about the companions.
The main inhabitant will be a BGK or 2, and there would also be a reedfish (for those who don't know, here's a picture):

For the algae-eaters, I'd probably have just a regular BN Plec, but I'm still confused about what I should have as my schooling fish. Would Glass Catfish or Platies work, or would the reedfish eat them.

Thanks for all potential help!!

you shouldn't keep a BGK in a 55g. these fish easily reach 18" in length when adult, thus they really shouldn't be kept in anything less than 18" wide and 48" long.

not 100% sure about the platys, by the glass cats may be okay. My Dinosaur Bichir never ate my molly fry (when I had them) which was what I intended to have them for. So it's hard to say...

Good luck with tank and lemme know how all goes with the BGK, I'll be adding one to my 55gallon tank too (temp of course)
