I like both the Serpae Tetra and the Silvertip Tetra beacuse they are colorful, active and hardy. But I understand these guys are a little agressive. Would a school be OK in a 29 Gallon tank with 2-3 dwarf gourami and 6 corys?
I regard Serpæ as aggressive, and SilverTips as sub-semi-aggressive(tm). The long trailing fins of the gouramies are FAR more likely to be picked at by Serpæ, so of the 2, I'd take the SilverTips. Usually in a good sized group, they keep themselves to themselves, but will not shy away from a fight.
