Symptoms: Creamsicle molly female has reddish tint around gills that wasn't there before. It also has something on it's tail that looks like ich but I'm not sure. What do you guys think?? I know I didn't give a lot of info but that's the best I can do because it's my friends fish.

Hi Princess,
My two angels had Septecimia about a year ago and luckily recovered. This is a nasty bacterial caused disease and any cure wil only happen if the water is kept absolutely sparkling. 10% water changes everyday is a start, aswell as thorough gravel washing.
From what I can gather, septecimia sems to show up mostly at the base of the fins and the lateral line, but as my angels are blushing type, I didnt notice any extra reddening of the gills.
I treated with 10% daily changes, with the replacement water matured overnight and treated wioth 1/4 dose of malachite green based med (WS3) and 1/4 daily dose of melafix. It took about a month for the fish to get back to full health. Heres a pic of one of my angels with Sep. you can just see it in the areas mentioned above, and it was more visible in real life.
