Septicemia?

Here is are two pics. One normal and one with the red line circled. Cottoncandy is a new betta which we just got today. He was a walmart fishy, so not in very good condition. He's being treated for fin rot which you can see in both pictures.

Does that look like septicemia to you guys? It follows what looks to be a main vein...but because of his coloring my fiance thinks it could just be a bright pink streak on him. It just concerns me because of the way the streak is.
 
I'm pretty sure those are just his veins showing through the skin, I can see the same thing in several of my light-coloured fish :)
 
Well that makes me feel better. I saw a palish one at the store and couldn't see his so I panicked a little. Thanks
 
Lighter colored angels have a red line at times that resembles septicemia. No reason any other fish should be different. Just make sure it doesn't spread. I wouldn't be too worried.

this is my betta like a day before it started showing, got him from pets at home and they all are the same colour and all have red bits :thumbs:
