i was wondering, how do people here seperate fish in tanks. -_- y'know, like the barrier things between bettas. y'see, i'd like a pair of them in my 4 gal. tank cos i heard that bettas tend to be happier if they have another male to flare at  (correct me if i'm wrong :*) ).

what do you use? glass? plastic? -_-

I use a 2.5gal separated tank for my 3 crownfins. I dunno about them being happy having another male to flare at, but I got Telly alone in my room in a 1/2gal Hagen Betta Tank and he seems quite content.

does that tank come pre-seperated? what is it seperated with?

would a sheet of plastic, cut to the right size, be ok?

The glass separators for a 2.5 can be purchased separately. I wouldn't use cut-outs.
