Ok, so i,ve got one senegal bichr 5 in. in my 60 gal. right now and he looks awfully lonely, would it be too much to put another in with him? i know they get to be 12 in.

Won't be a problem at all. A typical 60 gallon tank can easily handle a small (3-4) group of moderately-sized bichirs like Polypterus senegalus.

Yeah sure, you could add more bichirs. what are the dimentions of your tank? Just make sure they are the same size, or around the same size. The bigger one could eat the other! Senegals are awsome, i have one around 10 inches or so. You keeping him with any other fish? If hes the only fish in the tank, maybe you could make it a bichir tank, like about 3-4 senegals and some fast type of schooling fish. In my tank i use 3 rainbow fish for dithers, and my senegal cant catch them :p . He has bitten one of their tails in half though.... and I think when the 4th one disappeared.. it was because of him... But the rainbows are really nice looking. I think the rainbow fish i have may be banded rainbows.
